Hi,

I am trying to install V8 supercars 3 on to my xbox harddrive and the message above comes up.

I also tried using DVD2Xbox but it stops when it gets to the file which is too long.

Any suggestions

Thanks,

But how do I get it to go from the PC to the Xbox. Can I save it on a flash card and install that way?

Sorry about the dumb questions

you wont be able to, if you xbox wont read the disk. AID is specially configured to run on a xbox, the file its self burnt onto a disk isnt. *sigh* You proabably wasted a disk by jumping the gun.

Because of the long filenames, they are not compatible with with the Fatx system on an xbox. DVD2XBOX shortens filenames that are too long.

V8 supercars 3 has files with long names which the games checks for, and if they have altered names/aren't present, the game won't load up.

This game will require a patch to enable it to run from a HDD.
