I realize this is an old chip, but the xbox is also old and its the only chip available to me. I have the manual from teamoxzodus and have tried burning a CDRW using nero with all the specifications including changing the filename to BIOS.bin, although it is a slightly newer version of nero than the manual shows. The Xenium chip is modded on, the XeniumOS 1.0 loads perfectly, and the chip changes colors when I select the bank to flash. This is as far as I get. I pick the USE D:/BIOS.BIN option to load the bios from the CDRW and then it gives the the "Unable to load program from cd" response. I have no idea what to do and would appreciate any help you could offer. thanks

Here is an old thread but it works pretty good....i just did it the other day myself actually.... http://xbox-hq.com/html/postt3572.html ...basically you just flash over your computer at the xenium os screen....remember you need a 256kb bios, one that doesnt have a 16 in it...and one with 137 in the name or lba48 if you have a hdd larger than 137...later. _________________ Xbox V1.6

Thanks yoshie. For some strange reason my xbox has no ip.
I started it up to the XeniumOS 1.0 and there is no ip in the hardware settings. I am unable to set one, if ther is a way, I don't know it.
As for the bios size, I have an 80G so I correctly threw away the 16's, but the only other bios I have are lba48, which are incompatible according to your post. Are there bios that will work for my 80G or do I need a new HD?
BTW, this box was previously modded, running evox 1.0 with the same 80G HD and everything but the old modchip bunked out.

Go to the HDD section in the Xenium dash and lock your hdd. Then try to boot the M$ dash. _________________

Man, do I have the worst luck ever. My Xenium dash does not have an HDD section. It is old 1.0, the only major things are recovery mode, settings(which shows the hardware settings), EEprom settings, and the area where you configure the BIOS. I have navigated throught all of the available options quite thoroughly, and the only are that even says HDD is the area where you can pick the BIOS to flash from the HD. I can't seem to access anything in that way though.
Even tried running the Xenium V1.1 update (recovery.bin) but keep getting that "unable to load file from cd" message. Im still stuck but I appreciate you suggestions.

I would suggest using evox m8plus or x2.4983.06 i believe....as for connecting to your xenium...you have the box hooked up to a router or something correct? and if so are you using the right cord...meaning a crossover if connected directly to your computer or a cat 5 or 6 if connected to a router. Also, if it is connected to a router make sure you set the settings to dhcp and restart connection and see if it gives you an ip then....or if you have it connected directly to your box have it to static....does that help at all?...btw, all those bios' can be found in the 256kb bios folder on the aid 3 cd. _________________ Xbox V1.6
