What seems to be the problem? Lets see if this cant be fixed here before recommending for it to be sent out first. _________________

If theres no disc in the tray and I turn it on. It will stay on the logo then freeze. I can't go to my xbox dashboard or my xboxlive.

it has to be opened up and have a mod chip installed because the bios can no longer function properly and comunicate with the harddrive _________________

Have you decided on what mod chip you want? You have to flash the chip for one and if you have a back up of your eeprom then you can use your harddrive, which i forgot to mention, if you dont have an eeprom your going to need a new harddrive also because its now permanantly locked. _________________

Have a look at the useful info link posted under my signature.
You should find almost anything you need in our tutorials section, and if you can't let me know _________________

How the Mod chip works is its a more stable version of the xbox bios chip(tsop) it can unlock the ablity of running unsigned code (burnt disc backups) for example, and you can build a new harddrive with a chip by just using AID 3.0 _________________
