My there you're a loud fella. What you're looking for is called dvd2xbox. As long as you own the game its cool, other that that its illegal and not wanted here. _________________

Exactly.. We have no probs with people running their original xbox games from the hdd or backing up but dont go asking about illegal downloading..
We do NOT support piracy here. _________________ HQ Network:

I'm having trouble backing up my Castlevania game. I'm using the following...
xbox v1.4 with a duox2 modchip.
evox8+ bios
UnleashX v .38 dashboard
I'm trying to pull the game over to make an ISO using CloneXB v2.3. I've tested this method on an older game (D&D Heroes), so I think I have everything hooked up correctly, but CloneXB stops early saying it can't copy default.xbe. What's goin' on here? (notice: The file explorer says the disk is about 6.8 gigs large, but when I add up the files and folders on the game disk, I only get about 3.9 gig or so., could this be some sort of copy protection?) Thanks.

it could be, try DVD2Xbox that might work, its an app you install on your xbox allowing you to copy the game to your harddrive, its fairly straight forward and easy to use. Then FTP to your xbox and pull it off the hd and use C-Box tool to make a iso and burn it to disk. _________________

I'll try that, thanks... but first I need to install my new 160 gig hd. That stock one is just way too small. I know there's alot of info out there on how to do this... actually, there's so much that it's kinda overwhelming. Can you point me to a reliable how-to guide for dummies for upgrading the xbox hd?

just put the harddrive in the xbox and get AID 3.0 and the manuals come with it, since you have a chip it should be real easy. _________________

I have AID 3.0 on a dvdr. Do I need to backup my eeprom or some crap like that to get the 160gig hd to boot? I know I need to move my save games to the new hd.
Hey, here's a question, when I install the xbox ftp client, do I also have to install an ftp program on my pc to transfer stuff between them?

Yeah make a back up, it dont hurt to? And the xbox ftp client is more for transfering stuff from xbox to xbox not pc to xbox. You just need a ftp program for the computer. _________________
