When i do pirrups tutoral its not unlocking the hard drive... Can someone tell me why?

I am getting error 13 and thats like dashboard problems.. I do the hotswap stuff and its not unlocking the harddrive.
After i take the hard drive out of the xbox and put it in the computer and boot up to the cd. i type the xboxhd thing it says that the hard drive is locked.

then your timing isn't correct ,
boot up the xbox and look at the power circle , when it starts flashing thats the time to switch cables (you need to be very fast ,like you got only 2 seconds to do this)
