Ok, I'll openly admit that I'm a newbie, and I've managed to break my xbox.
I had used Softmod installer 2 to softmod it, and it was working fine. I then used the back up on the hard drive to put it back to an original state, and then used softmod installer 4. Worked ok, but then playing NFS:MW It stuck, like a cd skipping and now my light flashes red with no video or sound.
Bu**er.
All I really care for, is the save games from the orignal hard drive.
Is there a simple, easy way to get these from the busted xbox ?
I've now got a working xbox (xbox 2) and that's fine.
I've tried using the hard drive from trhe broken xbox (xbox 1) and I get an Error code 6 on the screen.
Is it possible for me to connect the xbox 1 hard drive to my pc and get the save games from it ?

no there is no easy way to get the saves from broken xbox ,
you will have to try to hotswap and see if you can use something like hddriver to get the saves from it ,
try booting aid deluxe and see if it can can run it , if it does you can resoftmod the xbox but if its hardware that went bad there is nothing really you can do except hotswap , or if you have a backup of the eeprom you can unlock it in windows without hotswaping it and then use something like the hddriver _________________ Xbox v1.0/1.1/1.5/1.6a
