I am not sure which program you are using, but FlashFXP works GREAT. Basically, the numbers you punch in are your own xbox's ip address. As to finding out your xbox's IP maybe someone else can help you. _________________ XBOX- V1.0

or in FTP CLIENT:
username: username (xbox)
password: password (xbox)
ip: xboxipaddress (192.168.0.2)
thats about it.
Your xbox and pc must be on the same network.
example.. If you pc is 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.0.100 etc etc then your xbox should be something like 192.168.0.2 (.10, .11) etc etc

the full syntax for ftp is:

BTW, just thought I would mention for those of you that are a little more advanced (and I'm sure most of you already knew this, and just didn't want to complicate the response to the newbies), but your PC and XBox actually DON'T need to be on the same first 3 IP prefixes (like 192.168.0.XXX) if you adjust your netmask. In other words, the most common thing in the world is to have netmask set to 255.255.255.0. Most people don't know what that does or why, they just do it. But that netmask is what "defines" your peer-networking environment and defines what TCP/IP packets will be looked at. Especially for small home networks with a router between them and the outside world, having a larger netmask really isn't a problem with packet collisions and managing large numbers of PC's, so you could easily make it 255.255.0.0 and then a PC on 192.168.0.1 could see an xbox on 192.168.7.1 (or any other third prefix IP). Large offices use netmasks to even divide high traffic networks down below the last sub-net too (just the opposite of what I just described).
Just figured I'd throw that out there as your "Friday networking 101 tip of the day". Back to your regularly scheduled programming....

Dude that rocks! jhondra you do amaze me. So with a netmask of 255.255.0.0 one can have 192.168.0.1, 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.3.1 all show up on the same network in the same workgroup. Is that my understanding? _________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th

Yup. Just make sure you set that netmask on all computers/boxes you want to see the net traffic. DHCP automatically restricts it to 255.255.255.0 I think, so you have to start statically assigning IP's, but that is ALWAYS better for me, so I know how to get to each box (especially given window's...ahem...buggy networking).
