I have a v1.0 xbox, xenium SP chip, flashed with the EvoxM7 bios through the network. My hard drive got formatted during an attempted hard drive upgrade. The hard drive i upgraded worked fine then it died, so im trying to put the stock hdd back in. It is completely formated not partitions what so ever. I am trying to load the Auto-installer delux disk and after i boot the evox bios it shows the xbox loading screen then says AID 2.0 and just sits in that screen and wont boot up. I dont have the eeprom for that hard drive in the xbox currently but i do have the backup on my computer. I am trying to restore the hdd then reinstall the M$ dash. If anyone knows what my problem could be that would be great help. I have used CD-RW, DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW and no luck.

First off the V1.0 (I can speak from experience) can be a fiesty little reader. Once you have the disk in, be patient for a bit, mine will sit for a while from time to time. Most common error for burnt disks is burning too fast but on a 1.0, it just might not have been reading the media. Certain brands it will not like. Trial and error on that version machine. Be sure your burner has the latest firmware too. It all goes toward being able to use backup disks and the rest. What program are you using to burn the ISO? I'm wondering if the fact that the original HDD you are trying to use is locked and creating an issue... just thinking out loud, so to speak.
I suspect that between all of us, we can overcome this issue. _________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th

Yes I can confirm this.
You will get best results with DVD-R.

make sure you use memorex dvd-r, since other brands might not work.

try deleting the intro video and burn the disc with all other files. If your drive is still whining about it, plug a small replacement video in the disc image. When you load the disc, it'll read easier because the video loading is smaller and requires less reading and load time. Byte that advice Sharky. If you see the AID 2.0 loading screen, it means the chip worx, it boots and is trying to read the xbe on disc but is having trouble loading because of that blasted movie file size.

Well i figured out the problem was my hard drive was locked and the eeprom i was using to try to unlock it was not the eeprom for that hard drive. But luckily i had backed up my eeprom to my mod chip the first day i got it so all i had to do was restore the eeprom then unlock the hdd. I ran AID and created the partitions and installed the ms dash and i can create a bios to flash my chip with but i can run the bios off of my tsop to run the ms dash. How can i flash my tsop with the original bios to load the ms dash?
