Just installed Xenium SP-ICE, upgraded Xenium OS 2.3.0 and went through ICE guide and saved M$ BIOS and set clock. Now trying to load AID 2.11. Used NERO and CD-RW and burned ISO. When I try and load it I see three files on cd: (D Drive)
.\
..\
Auto-Installer.Deluxe.v2.11.Final.iso
When I select AID I get an error message- Error: File doesn't fit!
Any ideas?

Sounds like you've done everything right so far. Did you burn the AID as an ISO or did you just burn it? It doesn't sound like it is properly burnt as an ISO. _________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th

Thanks for the reply! I've since tried to use DVD Decrypter using both DVD-Rs and CDRW. The box is still recognizing the "D" drive but when I select it the screen comes up and its blank (OS screen is still there just showing nothing on disc). I've been reading of other ways to update the BIOS. One was specifically for the Xenium chips and says to rename an individual BIOS to BIOS.BIN and include a dummy.bin file as well. Can I pick the BIOS's (.bin files) that I want to install from the AID 2.11 and rename them BIOS.BIN individually? Any ideas would be great.
I'll try anything at this point. I guess it could even be the media. Oh yeah one quick question; I've got a Thompson DVD drive and I've seen the term Thompson tweaked (apparently not as finicky with different types of media). How do you tweak your DVD drive?

All you did was copy AID.iso to the cd as a whole file. You burnt it incorrectly. When you run nero, choose to burn from an image file and select the AID.iso when it asks you what image you want to use. Sharky, your slippin... you must not have read this guys mesage thoroughly when trying to answer his question. Pity...

Still No Joy
Here's exactly what I'm doing:
Nero 7 Burning Rom - File - Open - then I select "Image Files (*.nrg,*.iso,*.cue) under "Files of Type" in the open window.
Then I find the .iso file (Auto-Installer.Deluxe.v2.11.Final.iso) and select it. The Burn Compilation Window now opens and I select "Finalize CD" and hit "Burn".
I've tried the above with DVD-R, DVD+R, and CD-RW's. I put the disc in the box and select "Launch Menu - Add A New Item - Flash - D:\ - and then there is nothing to select.
Please let me know if I have not included enough info and I will. As mentioneed above I've tried to burn AID v2.11 using DVD Decrypter v3.5.2.0 following the instructions from the Auto-Installer Deluxe v2.11 Final.Manual.

instead of file -> open, try recorder -> burn image

He's trying to flash his bios, he really just needs to burn a bios to disk. I think aid contains these in a bios folder. _________________

wow, haha, leave it to the softmod specialist to catch somthing all us chip gurus missed...
but yeah, the AID contains a folder called bios which has folders in it that have certain sized bioes. you need to use a hacked bios, such as M8 plus or X2 so that it can read the hacked .xbe file that tells aid to run... _________________ XCM Halo 2 blue case

you've got me confused (which isn't hard to do). I currently don't have any hacked BIOS's loaded on my machine. Do I need to somehow install a BIOS from the BIOS folder contained in the .rar of AID 2.11. If so how do I burn that to a CD/DVD so the box will recognize it?

well, you do need to install a hacked bios so that the xbox will run the AID dvd. to do this, just start up the xbox and run the xenium os. there should be an option somewhere to let you ftp a bios to the chip. just use your computer to transfer a bios form your hard drive to your chip and then tell the chip to flash it... im not all that great with xeniums, yoshie or rabid should beable to better help you with that...

Case Closed! The issue was not having a hacked BIOS. I went into the BIOS CD folder in AID 2.11 and un-rared the BIOS's I wanted. I then copied the .bin files to my thumb drive to install. After the hacked BIOS was loaded AID loaded as advertised (from CDRW). I appreciate all of the help and hope I didn't cause too much confusion from my stupidity.

cam130nav there was nothing stupid about the situation my friend, except kodgamer who added nothing to the solving of the issue.
The cool thing is that if we run in to this situation again, I can look back on how you accomplished your task and perhaps use that to give better pin points to others.
