bios: M8 v16 xbox: v1.6 10G HDD
select "format retail HDD"--> format F:--> prepare F:

F: shows on screen, then I install 3935 , media centre, a few applications & emulators. Reboot fine. But later when I boot up, I can't see the "applications, media center, emulators on the menu, but only MS dashboard, and settings , and backup on the dashboard. Strange!

How can I create a F: drive drive (8 or 10G HDD) for me to boot from chipped bios? And still keep MS on C:\ when I press 'eject'. My purpose is to keep EVOX dashboard and other application hidden from xbox live.

install dashboard, apps, emus, etc on E or F (if you have it), if you choose to format retail hdd, it will not install MS Dash right away, so you gotta tell AID to install it, also you might need to fix your evox bios so it boots your dash from E:\evoxdash.xbe(example), and not C:\evoxdash.xbe so your C drive will be nothing but retail microsoft files.

reflashing chip with bios might be needed.

I agree with nknave. From the AID menu choose install dashboard to E. You should install everything to E. I use F: for my games.
