well, i decided a different way to go about trying to get files to my xbox, just transfering them all through dvdr's.

but all i have is a cd burner, can i still burn programs and such to a dvd with a program like nero or something whilst using just a cd burner?

p.s sry bout my last topic

The address via IE/Firefox is FTP://xbox:xbox@ip.of.your.puter.here:21

As for your Samsung drive, I don't understand why it's not reading CD-R's. Mine reads them all day long without a single hiccup. Only thing the drive won't read is DVD+R's, which is fine because -R's are now able to burn at 16x... YAY!

Oh, and to the person that said "I dunno if a CD-RW would work if a CD-R doesn't" most of the time, CD-RW's are more likely to read than CD-R's. it's the way the data's burned or something like that.

Anyway, d00d, try a high brand of CD-R if your cheapies aren't workin. Fujifilm is the best, followed by Sony, then Memorex.

like i said about the ftp, my connect in the back of my xbox is screwed over somehow. im not sure really how though, it just is. I don't really wanna bother with it until I can get my own computer, and that will be awhile.

as for my xbox not reading cdr's, im not sure what's up. I did try a maxell, as well a a few memorex, imation, and a few others, but no luck at all. so i dunno what's goin on there...

dbeal, i'd really apperciate a copy of aid 3, i'll pm you with some stuff.
