i've had my xbox since 2002, so its very old, it has never been modded before, i have splinter cell, i put the 2 SID4.5 files onto my xbox when i load linux on splinter cell i get this message with a large # 21 in the top left corner. the message says. Your Xbox requres service. Please call Xbox Customer Support. The xbox is flashing red and green while in this screen. when i shut the xbox off and restart it, everything is completly fine, i can play games, go on live. So why am i getting this error when i try to boot linux? i know im using the right files, the installer(launcher) and the splinter cell NTSC. If anyone can help that that would be great, so plz, and thanks in advance.

bump~~~i've tried SID3 now and all i get is black screen when i launch linux from splinter cell. why cant i lanuch linux? My xbox has never been moded, it has the original MS dash my kernal is version 1.00.4817.01 and my dashboard is version 1.005960.01

i tried SID 4.5 again, i get black screen with orange light, no blinking. when i restart my xbox everything is back to normal. maybe i need an older version of SID? cuz they were made for older xbox's? where can i download SID 2.0?

I think the files of the softmod are corrupted or do you have a pal xbox and ntsc mod files?
sid 4.5 is fine
orange led is normal when you boot on sid 4.5
