I installed a softmod to my v1.0 xbox. Loading SID was easy and went fine. I installed nKnave 4.5 and the evox dash. After the reboot, I couldnt tell what was on my screen. It was a big jumbled mess. Audio works fine. Settings are set to ntsc-m. I need help!!!!

try another tv.. It could be your tv causing the issue..
Make sure your cables are directly plugged into the tv and not through other av equipment too..

It works fine if I load SID 3.1. It has to ba an issue with 4.5. The first Xbox splash screen works fine, and games work fine if I coldboot to them. The problem only happens if I boot a dash loaded with SID 4.5. All dashes cause this problem, UnleashX, EvoX, XBMC, even the MS dash after the SID 4.5 softmod.

Im not a softmod expert but have done plenty myself..
Personally i have never used 4.0 or higher and am quite happy with 3.0..
If 3.0 works you should have no reason to go for 4.5 unless you want to play xnox live as well..
if you do just keep posting and im sure the answers will pop up..

Can it be that I'm using component video out, instead of the standard composite??
