can i ftp straight to a h/drive then to a dvd r, as i use the local library and am a bit restricted to how much i can download unless i buy a usb hard drive. and i have never done ftp, is it easy to do or are there any tips.

yep, you basically ftp straight from your xbox to your pc. there are some programs that will even do it on-the-fly, but I don't know much about them...
Basically I just ftp all the files over, then make an ISO using C-Xboxtool 2 or Craxtion 4.
The only thing you'd probably need the internet for is patches, if you're just happy grabbing games from the video store and/or friends.

ok great but how do i transfer files from my xbox to my pc, this is the part i am stuck on (have got a xover cable)
