i messed up really bad, first i del. the ms backup how do i get the ms dashboard back, then how do i take the modded dashboard out. i'm a big noob with it comes to stuff like this. i have no clue how to hotswap and i don't have the tools. is there a different way to restore my ms dashboard?

pirrup has a downloadable M$ dash just under his sig.
It's a rar file, but click M$ dash and it will download for ya.

You would FTP the dash back in to the C drive.
Now to unmod your box, I'd recommend using AID 3, if you simply wish to change dashes from UnleashX to say XBMC, I still recommend AID 3.
It's extremely useful and it too has the M$ dash by the way
In fact, if the entire purpose is to unmod the Xbox, I'd recommend not reinstalling M$ dash but download the AID 3 and let it do what it does best. _________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th

It's available through bit torrents or for VIP's our VIP servers for direct downloads. As for getting the M$ dash back, AID can either unmod the box and put it back or it can install the M$ dash plus whatever dash you wish to use. Very useful. Otherwise, like I said, you can FTP the M$ on to your C drive but this does not unmod the box.
By the way, take care if FTPing the M$ dash to C for if your other dash is sitting there, it could overwrite and cause issues for you. Softmods can be tricky, so tread lightly. _________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th

the only reason i want to go back to ms dash and get the modded dash and all that off is because both my acc r banned and i can't get new ones for along time now.

Before you unmod just because of XBL, try looking in to Xlink Kai.

Am I losing you? Look, you said you got banned twice from XBL, rather than mess with the dash and unmod the box, I am offering an alternative that I suspect you'd like better.
Its for playing online games on the Xbox like XBL.
