Alright so i put the new HD in the xbox and the AID 3 cd in the drive and it just gives me an error 7 do i have to do anyhitng to the HD befor i put it in the xbox

no you dont have to do anything to your harddrive, error code 7 means your harddrive is timing out Check the IDE Connection/Cable and check the Power Supply. _________________

well I would try putting the harddrive in the computer and see if it detects it, if it dont then you probably got a dud. _________________
