Yes, it tries to boot 3 times and begins to flash red and green on the third attempt. No audio or video, disc tray will not eject.

Well if you have a mod chip in your xbox and its doing that, you check all connections and the d0 point and see if they are still making contact, and if they are you just have to reflash the chip.
If you dont have a mod chip, and your xbox is doing that then your going to have to get a mod chip to, (basially bypass the malfunctioning tsop), fix the problem. _________________

Well it isnt chipped now, I bought it as a broken xbox off of ebay and there are no indications that anyoe had ever tried to chip it. It does the 3 boot then FRAG thing and I was wondering if those symoptoms were always (or usually) caused by TSOP and if I were to install an Xecuter 3 or other mod chip if I could fix this. Also would I flash the X3 just with the usual Xecuter BIOS or do I need to get another bios for another bank to mimic the TSOP? Can the TSOP be reflashed?

There will be no way now to flash the tsop because the xbox cant boot, so a mod chip is needed to take over the functions of the tsop therefore fixing the problem, and you can use any mod chip you want to use and any bios that you want to use, certain chips have thier own developed bios which fully uses the chip for what it was designed for. So if you got a Xecuter 3 mod chip you would use the X3 bios to fully utilize its full potential. _________________

So basically all you can do at that point is use the chip to bypass the TSOP which I guess means no live. So now I just have to decide whether to sell it for parts, or put a cheap chip in and sell it that way.
