using mech sid softmode game save everthing works great i get all apps and runs pefect. until i try to load msdash from sid3.0 disk. on reboot i get the nasty error 21 .
i did not back up eprom or anything on hdd.
hdd is locked tried to hot swop did not work.
my questions is how to get eprom info so i can run xboxhdm to unlock drive or is their a better way to save drive. i have a xbox drive from another mobo that gets the error 5 or 6 depending if drive is locked or unlocked

cold boot your game that you softmoded with and go into your exploit and you can ftp in your m$ dash stuff. _________________

error 21 is a problem loading an xbe.
possible errors when using SID 3 and under, or other softmods that are a bit old.
-dash .xbe is not present
-dash .xbe is not where it should be
-dash .xbe target cannot be found
-if from boot up, could be that font cannot locate hack.xbe
Sequece example:
power on>retail kernel checks>xboxdash.xbe>hacked font>patcher or bios loader>xbe target configured by nkpatcher or the bios.
if any of these is tampered with when the files are accessable, can lead to this ugly error 21.
what to do, well, it's kinda hard, but if you can redo the softmod, please do, and try to upgrade to SID 4.5 if you plan to stick to softmods. _________________ Xbox v1.1

thanks to all the mod admin at xhq without this site my xbox would be scaped!!!!
o.k. i fixed the funky error 21
first i made a ms dash iso from xboxhdm
then I hot swaped the hdd (unplugged dvd rom power & ide cable *to unlock drive* & turned on xbox pulled ide cable off xbox(DONT TURN OFF XBOX UNTILL ALL DONE) hdd pluged it in to the pc master ide cable and ran xboxhdm iso turned on pc and picked option 1 for xboxhd to run program
option 1 again to install a new hdd follow onscreen directions (type yes for everything)
power off xbox and reinstall hddd
and its good to go .
