Again with a problem...
Now that I'm runnung a dualboot dash on my Softmodded Xbox, I can't connect to live. I unplugged my cable modem and router for awhile to see if everything resets, but I still can't connect. Do I have set everything manuelly (IP addy, etc) or do I have to set something up on my hacked dash (UnlEasedX)?

run modded mode on ms dash and go to the network settings and choose advance and then put auto on the ip and then try it agian .... _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

I got it under DHCP and still no cigar.
Can it be that even when I'm on the MSDash, it won't let me connect.
I can still download content while under UnleashX (Skins and such) but still cannot connect to X Live.

this happend to me .... how did i fix it ..... try uninstalling it correctly and then try to connect to live and then if live connects turn off xbox and re mod it normaly and see if live works now _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

Okay,
I uninstalled the softmod and it worked perectly, but when I reinstalled the softmod, it still gave me the same problem. Crud...
Can it be that X Live detects my softmod?

is it 4.0 or 4.5? . umm read the thread " having problems with sid 4 ? read here " that should fix it up ... ill think what else i did so i can post on my results.....
i know it has to do with tampering with ms dash network settings auto then press a then go back and press manuel then auto then press a and turn it off and re run it thats it ! try it like i just mentioned _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

Its SID 4.5 Knave, but when I put it on my HDD it reads as SID 4. Also, I got this from AID 3.0. Also, I kept doing whachu told me to do above. Switch it to manuel then back and set it to auto then back and repeat, and still nothing.
Sorry if this is being a pain.

you mean add a sid 4.5 here? well your sid is working fine other wise mod would be acting werid.... so its more like a setting ... nknave made the mod so he knows what setting it is _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

Woooo!! I finally got it working!!
All I had to do is install open tray retail w/ dual dash, but now the ultimate probelm...
I got banned in under 15 mins. LOL
No worries tho as I got another EPROM from a friend that never goes on Live.
Now some more annoying questions... LOL
1) But is my XLive account EPROM is banned?
2) Whats the best possible way to not prevent this from getting banned
3) I bought a 12 month subcrition, can I still use it with my old name?

Your xbox is banned not your account
Use SID 4.5 Dualboot= retail for going onto live so when you boot with the tray open it will be in retail mode and you pop in your game disk and go and the red eject light means your softmod is active so that tells you not to go on live or your xbox will be banned.
And you can still use your name _________________

I did use SID 4.5 dual boot (Knave) Unless theres patches for this I had to install before I did anything...
The funny thing is I did boot into retail mode to setup my account and and play my online games, but I still got banned. So that means even if I load up my new EPROM I can't go onto live?
