i don't know what game my xbox was softmodded with. i tried all 3 games that were not platinum hits and none of them worked. when i push the eject button it doesn't boot up my linux installer softmod program. the reason i am posting this is because i accidentally erased my unleashX dash and now im stuck at the microsoft window X screen. i can play games just fine. but im at a dead end. I tried SP CELL, AUF, and mechassault all original discs no platinum hits and none of them boot the installer. please help!!! _________________ Xbox V1.6

They do need to be specific versions of those games. Did you make a backup of your eeprom? If so you can use the eeprom with xboxhdm and put the unleash files into \C folder.
You can then either rebuild C: or use the midnightcommander that comes with it(labeled as xboxbrowser) to copy the files back. Make sure that you unlock and then relock the drive though, as this is the whole point of the eeprom file. _________________ Hotswap|HDD Upgrade|X3 Guide

If the gamesave exploits are gone from the hdd, you have to do a hotswap. If you have made backups of your patitions then you can try what Greven stated. _________________ Xenium Ice 2.3.1 OS

pirrups hotswap tutorial is a awesome. easy to understand I never did a hotswap since iv'e been modding xbox's but pirrups hotswap tut was basic and easy to read. I saved a 320GB from the garbage! how exactally do you update unleashX. i deleted the default.xbe file with the new unleashx.xbe adn thats when i came to the conclusion that a hotswap was my only hope, because i could no longer boot up to my unleashx dash _________________ Xbox V1.6

yea lee has a point their... did u try putting anything that is unsiged code? such as aid 3?
