Success!!!! At least partially. I was able to boot up, install a softmod, and get a copy of the c drive and eeprom. So that's good. Bad thing is, I don't think it's the hard drive now. It is still FRAGging. From the looks of the responses, it seems like the only other option is to TSOP. I looked at the tutorial, but is there anyway to do this without soldering anything. Once again, thank you guys for all of you help.

Try a different IDE cable! If it boots It shouldn't be the TSOP.

Tried a different IDE cable. That didn't help, so I'm assuming it's the TSOP. Correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks.

Do you Have another HDD (8GB or more). If you do, give it a try.

Also you can Disable the locking features (unlock not HotSwap) on what HDD and do a Diagnostic with a PC and the Diag software from the HDD manufacturer. That will tell you if the HDD is bad.

BTW: Did you get the Eeprom on to your computer?(I hope.)

Yes. I got a copy of both the eeprom and the C drive. I guess we could try creating a new HDD and locking it to see if that would work. By the way, are you selling the Xboxes you have listed in your signature. If so, how much?

That's Great!, I'd recommend doing that just to check it out.

Twisted Evil I'd sell my wife for the right price!!! Twisted Evil

If you're looking for an inexpensive box I have a working V1.0 that has had the DVD replaced with a Thompson I can sell for $45 + shipping (no controllers)

Do you know how much shipping usually runs on a package that size? Ever since I modded my Xbox, a couple of guys I work with have been wanting one. Basically to use as a media box. I'd love to have one in every room that I have a TV, but I don't think I could talk my wife into that yet.

That's a good question, I've never shipped an Xbox before. Is there anyone that knows how much it would cost? (Please?)
