i am having the same problem ron burgundy is having. i modded my xbox with a mod that u have to use mechassault to install and i chose softmod then i heard from ppl in this forum that unleshx is better so i decided to install unleshx and i already had sofmod on there and i backed up all my files and when i shut off my xbox and turned it back on without a game in there it stopped at the xbox logo screen and the microsoft on the bottom... but it will still let u play games but u have to have the game in there b4 u turn it on or it wont boot and i never got to FTP my xbox cuz i dont have a router... and if this info will help i got the version with the samsung dvd player .. and i need sum major help cuz all my saved games r gone and the file i used to get into linux is gone and i dont have anyway of gettin back to linux to reinstall.. thank for takin ur time to read this

ok for the record for ftping you dont need internet ... or a router..
now for what i understand you are saying that if u turn on ur xbox with no game then it just holds on the ms fluber screen...
as where if u have a game inside it will play the game right?
and u also said that the exploits are gone right? so that means u cannot re mod it .... since u cant acess the dash nor re mod since exploits are wiped out...
ok well i can only think 2 of things, 1( put nwer game like halo 2 or somting hofuly it wil put ms dash ... or 2( which should fix it ... you ned to do what is called a hotswap without a eeprom......

u cant acess ftp on ur xbox.... so try putting a newer game to see if it auto install the latest ms dash.... or hotswap.....
most likely hotswap is the only thing you can do .... but i was told by members that putting a new game like halo2 usualy fixes that error...
note: u dont see that it installs the ms dash.. and it doesnt tell you as well...
ftping well if you use a cross over cable then it goes to the back of the pc
if you use a ethernet cable cat5 cat6 ... then this cable is used for ftping... _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

so you put halo 2 and then you eject tray open and it loaded error 21 ?
or tell me exactly what you did with the game.
error 21 can be everything so i wonder what kind of solution can we do.

i put in the game and it booted to halo 2 and i select xbox live then selected troubleshoot to see if it would take me to dash and then it gave me the 21 to the left side fo the screen then it said contact services and tahts wat i did... what should i do with halo 2 to get it halo 2 to update or put ms dash back

yea try any new game and play like a level or somthing then take out disc by ejecting it and see what you get.

i played halo 2 and nba live and when i ejected it it goes back to the xbox log and microsoft thing and stays there ... and i look at the tutorials for hotswap and i dont think i have any of those tools it needs and im a newbie so is there any other way i can do this

NOTHING, everything was erased from my C and E drives, everything. No game saves, no dashboard, the only thing it can do is play games. no dashboard. no c drive. no e drive. They gto erased.
