ok what about this i have a 1.6 xbox that my little brother damaged the vid port on i got a friend that sells xbox parts like mobos for 15.00, i want to replace the port but if i can figure out how to change the eeprom on the mother bored without messing with any chips. i can save money not haing to buy the hd.
i want to use the hd off of the mobo with the dead video port.
can i use config magic to change the eeprom on the mobo without modchip.
is there a way to just add RCA ports if so do you know of any tuts

well if u buy a new motherboard then u need the eeprom that is carried with that motherboard... umm mb u can de soilder from a working video connector.....

yeah i have a dead 1.2 mobo for parts with a good port. i have tried to desolder the bad port from the mobo but can seem to get the braid to suck the solder up, any idea on what else i can use to de solder. i am using a 15 watt iron, or is there any tuts you know of

15 watt soldering iron wont do a good job lol try a 30watt with a thermal controller then use the braid to desolder it. _________________
