I just bought a new 20 gig unlocked hard drive. My original 8 gig is still in my Xbox with a softmod. I originally used the Itools softmod but plan on replacing it with the Evolution X softmod. My question is how do I install my new hard drive. Does it need to be locked? I have heard that programs such as ConfigMagic Final and Slayer's Evox Auto-Installer are used to do this. Is that any other program that would be better? If so, how do I use it? Thanks in advance.

Does the tutorial in the link above work on an Xbox hard drive that has already been unlocked? My new hard drive is supposedly out of a Xbox and is just unlocked. I am just worried that I will overwrite something. Will the tutorial automatically install everything I need on a blank hard drive.? I hope what I wrote makes sense. Thanks

You will have to lock the hdd to the eeprom of the box you want to put it in.
So yes it will work.
Once you softmod your xbox, make a backup of the eeprom and ftp it to your pc. When you make the xboxhdm disc, include the eeprom that you backed up. _________________ Xenium Ice 2.3.1 OS
