if i copy all the files off of my softmodded xbox hdd, and use xboxhdm to prepare a new hdd, will that new hdd be softmodded as well. if so, after making the new hdd all I have to do is lock that hdd and then I can install it in my xbox, right or is there more to do with the new hdd like soft mod it again. thanks

well what softmod did u install? because sid 4 uses a fake eeprom and the real one is somewhr on e/udata and it also uses a shadow C which is also fake ... what softmod r u doing? _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

so u want to explain to me then how do i go about upgrading my hdd since i used sid 4 and i did everything locked the HDD.. but my xbox cant load it for some reason keeps telling me my xbox needs service and there is no error code.

when you usually get no error code, that usually means you need to check all connections in the xbox, the ide cables, they can come loose sometimes. _________________

ok so basicly ur retail hd isnt working its only saying ur xbox need service.... no error code? sounds like a brick hd
did u try coldbooting ur exploitable xbox game? power on xbox pop disc in power off xbox and power back on WITH DISC INSIDE XBOX !... load ur linux and ftp everything
u cannot make a xbox hd if u dont have a eeprom .... _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

your best bet is try to remod it like DaJackal said. And no error code does not mean the harddrive is a brick there is an error code for that. _________________
