alright i bought a comatosed xbox (powers on fine but no a/v) thinking it was a v1 or 1.1 mb and i could do the simple jumper wire trick to get it to bypass...but newp after further investigation its a later version mb...the only way to fix this is with a mod chip...honestly i dont care what type of modchip it is as long as it works...seems the only way to bypass this issue is with a modchip....damn...ok so if anyone out there has a modchip they want to let off of relativly cheap or someones feelin generouse and wants to donate a modchip...that would be super wicked and hit me up...i live in delaware and dont really want to pay out the butt for shippin but at this point i just want this sucker to work...lol...ah well someone hit me up please!!!
as well is there away to identify the model without it being able to boot to a screen or with out the serial sticker on the bottom???

nice well its either a version 1.4 or 1.5 no real way to know unless i want to completely disassemble it again and break out the multimeater...although i dont think that should matter to much when it comes to modchips...ah well if someone could still help me out that would be wicked...thanks

Xecuter 3's ROCK A$$! Just my opinion, but like the xenium, they're still fairly high priced. _________________ XBOX v1.6c

If it's not a 1.6, why not softmod or TSOP, if your going to solder, why not just solder the points and flash your TSOP, it costs less than a chip, but softmods are best, specially for low budget moments. _________________ Xbox v1.1

Yes, it will go around the retail bios.
And sure, I was half joking, but if you really want me to I will build a 29-wire chip for you.
Remember, that means that you will have to solder TWENTY-NINE wires to the bottom of your Xbox mobo. It took me quite a while to do it.
Here's a link to the process if you want to do the whole thing your self:
You might find it easier to use a commericial chip though. They have a lot fewer wires to connect and they don't look like this when your done! _________________ I think I like fixing Boxes more than using them!

You could have used heat shrink tubing to bundle the wires up neater, now you have to use electrical tape lol _________________

Tape and H.S. are not flexible enough to position things the way I want to. Plus, the wires were a lot nicer until I setup a switch wrong and fried some of them, trying to reflash my TSOP. (Melted insulation, wires stuck together and smoke!)
If I can do a multi bios on my TSOP, I'll just take it off anyway. _________________ I think I like fixing Boxes more than using them!
