Thank you JackBear. So, the UXE allows me to sofmod the xbox without useing SID, correct? Sounds like this uxe is a great tool, base on what i've read/understand. It looks like i dont need to get a SID. I'm kinda confuse now. The tut. spoke about the game save exploit, but then in speaking of the uxe sounded like you didn't need the game exploitables. Bwoy, this is kinda getting confusing(I'm reading too much). and besides i don't see the link to get the tool.

dude no ofense but since u sound like this is new to you then i would just recommend sid 4.0 why? simple cuz uxe i belive is only coding as where sid is aio thing all in one ..... and it is scirpt patched and shadow for a reason... for new ppl ... so i suggest just get the AR = auction replay as it WORKS 100% with these sid transfers.... and the sid on the torrents is a FAST download.... ar is about $30 bucks and one of the games such as 007 agent under fire would be around at least $5 to $15 bucks... so the mem card u can always use it , the same with a game ..... 007 is a excellent mutilplayer game... i love it so u dont loose anyting.... try it its alll easy ! ... why take ur chances on uxe when it can really mess u up and slightly small possiblity destory your xbox... _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

Yeah, action replay is a good way to install softmods. I'm just saying, using the "hotswap method" and using UXE is a very easy way to people who don't know anything about softmods to install it. All you need is a basic understanding of a computer's insides and the xbox insides. Yeah, it does require you to open your xbox, but that isn't the hardest thing in the world to do either.
It's all up to you man but hear this. Once you install the uxe softmod using xboxhdm (hotswap), you can pop in a copy of AID 3 and technically "re-softmod", as I like to say, and install the dash of your choice, such as XBMC.
I'm actually in the process of writing up my own tutorial to incorperate Pirrup's hotswap tut and a process of mine using UXE and AID to install your own custom dash. Should be completed this weekend. _________________ XBOX v1.6c

Allow me to make this the easiest way possible.
-get SID 4.5
-boot in in your unmodded xbox with stock hdd
-backup eeprom from menu
-ftp to E:\UDATA\21585554\000000000000\backup and get file "eeprom.bin"
-get xboxhdm_1.9 and make your linux.iso with this file in it's corresponding folder and MS Dash on C folder.
Make your 80 maxtor hdd from scratch using linux disc and lock it with your eeprom.bin code.
once that's done, you can now replace your stock hdd with this one, and it will work properly.
1.- your stock hdd is not modded, it only has the gamesave used for mod.
2.- your new 80 gig is not modded, but it's xbox ready and compatible with your xbox, so now you put the same SId 4.5 gamesave there, and do the rest.
-backup eeprom
-backup ms dash
-install softmod>boot>dash
Now you must have your ms dash intact on C when you build your new hdd, or else it will not boot, it will lead to some nasty error codes.
Some ppl don't understand most of this, and I see your one of them.
Having Evoxdash.xbe, evox.ini in your C doesn't make it modded, Unless you have a modchip and hacked bios to load it, the way a softmod works, is to use retail dash files that we exploit with fonts, and that's how the mod begins, so no retail files, no mod, and evoxdash.xbe will never boot. _________________ Xbox v1.1

thank you guys, you all have been so helpful, well got the link to AID3(it should have SID3, rite?) .torrent file. I do know how both inside the xbox and the PC looks, i'm a computer student after all , just that because i've read so many different things i was getting confuse. but i think i'm on the right track now. But just to be sure, here's a brief of what i'm going to do. OK! Here I go--> first I ned to put the 007 exploit on my memory card using AR via my pc, next connect the mem card to my xbox, load the 007 game and when it ask for load gamesaves I locate the 007 gamesave and run it. Am I right so far? OK!, next is to burn SID3 to a cd-rw/dvd and follow the instructions for the softmod. Tell me what i left out or what i did wrong pls

u almost had it .... once u put the game saves on the xbox then u wana mod it cuz if u dont then it wont run aid 3.... btw its 2 files no matter what game u get...

oh yeah that part too. Well thank u guys your all the best. In regards to get the exploit on the memory card how i go about doing that? Since I only have the software for AR not the complete thing.(got from xbins) also i was reading on how to create a xbox usb controller on this site http://www.llamma.com/xbox/Mods/xbox_controller_to_pc_usb.htm is there another way. Or this is how i have to do it. Oh, yes I am going to upgrade my HD.
