With the last error "can't open data" to your IP, sounds like a firewall.

I DID IT!!!! ... using the info given to me here and the guides i read on xbox scene i logged in to my xbox and copied the contents of C: & E: so i can restore should anything go wrong ... BTW while i'm here what do i need to make a back up disk? i got my Eeprom and the entire contents of C: & E: but there is no way in hell that will ever all fit on one CDR so can i just delete my soundtracks and save games? ( i have LOADS of KOTOR 1 & 2 saves which i think i should just get rid of ) there is also a file called shadowc.img that was installed the my box of course it must be for my mod or something but do i need it on my back up disk?

another question as well quickly when i loaded up Evox my E: drive only has 3GB left Crying or Very sad i went to settings and turned on F: drive but it says i have 0 space? so my question is what do i have to do to this this extra space? and can i use G: as well?

sorry for the questions i'll search more in to it in case i'm just being dumb ... here's the guide i read that got me sorted in case anyone else is reading this having the same prob as me

Use these settings if you, like I are having problems FTPing to your Xbox

IP: 192.168.0.1
Gateway: 255.255.255.0

Xbox:
Setup Network: Yes
Static IP: Yes
Xbox IP: 192.168.0.2
Gateway: 255.255.255.0
Accept Incoming Connections (PC ADDRESS): 192.168.0.1

1) Open NETWORK CONNECTIONS in the Control Panel - Bring up the properties of your Local Area Connection (If you do not have this icon then set up a LAN using the wizard)

2) Highlight Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and click properties

3) Select "Use following IP address" and enter:
IP: 192.168.1.4
SUB: 255.255.255.0
GATEWAY: 192.168.0.1

4) Press OK

5) Connect the crossover network cable to your PC and Xbox

6) Boot up your Xbox and check the IP settings. Your IP should be fixed and use the following data:
IP: 192.168.1.5
SUB: 255.255.255.0
GATEWAY: 192.168.0.1

7) Save the settings (scroll down to the bottom) and reboot the Xbox. Leave it sitting on the EvoX main screen once it has rebooted.

Cool Load up your FTP software on the PC (I recommend FlashFXP) and enter the same details that you used on the Xbox into the connect screen.

... i think zonealarm was messing with mine cuz as soon as i uninstalled it it seemed to work hmm Wink

To see the "real" C:\, boot from the Auto Installer Deluxe (AID) CD (3.0 is the latest).

Your softmod probably includes NDURE dual-boot, which uses shadowc.img (the virtual C drive) as its C: drive.

AID will not use NDURE to boot and will show the actual C: drive.

Cheers,

MdH

All you need for the new hdd install is xboxhdm V1.9, eeprom, MS dash files. Once you make new hdd with xboxhdm iso, just reinstall gamesave and resoftmod.

it wasnt a game save mod cuz i couldnt get an action replay from ANYWHERE well apart from ebay ... i used xboxhdm with UXE and hotswapping to mod mine but i would like to use NDURE for modding the new HDD so i can have dual-boot ... i already have the saves i need so can i just dump them on my back up CD and stick them on the new HDD? or will i have to use UXE again? ... might be easier seeing as i'd already be in xboxhdm anyway. cheers
