ok I took a 120 gig HDD and put the original retail MS dash on HDM and made the disk. put the disk in and all is well, i have a virgin XBOX so i try to go through the steps again and i get the exact same results with the softmod menu coming up but when i turn it on with the power button it boots the unleashx splash and right when it does the screen tweaks out and starts scrolling fuzzy lines ,and like before its running but the graphics are screwed.
i tried using the AID disk and using the tool for switching to PAL and then back to NTSC but all that did was make it nearly impossible to get back to the tool and switch it back due to all of the screens being scrolling fuzz, i could just barely make out what i was doing and seemed like i would have a seizure trying to read it all scrolling like that, so here i am stuck again ,PLEASE HELP ME

sorry to interfere, but I have a similar q, if having a big locked hdd with only retail stuff, could you simly use nknave 4.5 for a unmodded xbox with large drive(this mod does not need opening of xbox)

your question is can u mod an xbox that is locked but unmodifed? why couldnt u ?
u planing to do a bigger hd? then yes u need to open ur box...

theres a bug with the latest SID or something. i have tried every every way to install this soft mod exept bash it with a rock. and the previous release installs fine so i guess i will just stick with that. I have even switched hard drives and done a complete restore with the 5960 dash retail files from here and also tried a different game such as splinter cell, because someone had suggested that i have the PAL version of mechassault even though there is no seperate install for the mechassault route, so did the splinter cell exploit (NTSC) and it did the exact same thing, it installs ,you can hear the menu items in unleashx scrolling and even the music on the AID disc but the graohics are tweaked right when you you reboot into dash. sooooo........im at a dead end, if anybody has any other suggestions please let me know , thanks.

try gettin the sid4.5 files again fresh ones... delete the old ones from ms dash and put new ones again and see what happens...

i also tried an alternative game exploit as of splinter cell. and i did try a new download when it was suggested to me that i needed the NTSC version of the exploit and no dice! both mechassault and splinter cell do the exact same thing but when i use the SID 3.0 final all is good. beats the fudge outta me. i have been all over these forums and cant come up with anything. i just installed back the 3.0 SID and AID apps and all is good i suppose but i wanted the latest and greatest but oh f'ing well..........i have literally tried everything in SID. so if anybody has a wonder suggetion please let me know, and i appreciate all the feedback b/c without this awesome or previously or for most people awesome software there would be no forums with kickass f'ers throwing their shite out there, so 4 that thanks a million, and if someone has a light go off in their head, please let me know about it, THANKS

oh and what do you mean how is my cable setup? do you mean like my shite is component out? at any rate all video is good within the exploit and MS dash but the second after reboot yo can see the unleashx dash for a millisecond before it goes haywire and almost gives me a seizure. i tried the NTSC/PAL switcher but after that i was lucky to get back to NTSC b/c you could barely and i mean barely see what menu items where there to get back to NTSC.

umm when i metioned about your wires ... its that maybe ur cables are mes up ... did u try pluging it to a regular red white yellow cables? cuz on hd cables it sort a fucdge up .... try regular cables... also did u grab 4.5 from the aid disc? or did u download the files then transfer via ar? _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

i tried the download first and then booted the exploit and ran AID and tried it from within there but with no luck, i have tried every method i can think of?
