its version 1.6b and no i wont be using a hdd bigger than 137 at the moment so will any of the ones you listed for the 1.6 versions do the job and can you recommend where i can get it. thanks

Or you can check the downloads section for our bioses. We're usually pretty up to date.
As far as falshing the Xenium, it's beautiful, because you can flash it ove rthe network. Extract the bios file (i usually do it on the desktop). Use your web browser to dial into your Xenium OS (Go to network settings, enable network flashing, I belive on the chip's menu) then browse to your BIOS file and flash that sucker. I think with the Xenium, you can have up to 4 512 Bios, which includes the MS Retail Kernel.
I don't reccomend EvoXM8+ anymore. I used it on my Xecuter, then ran it against X2 5035 (Custom build) and i"ll never go back to EvoX again. Just seems like they're dying. Shame, too, because they were so familiar. _________________ "That which does not kill you, only makes you stronger."

The xenium uses 256kb bios'. I have only used evox. For your situation if going the evox route you need the 256kb version of evox M8+16....later. _________________ Xbox V1.6

hmmm... so I did my friend wrong when I flashed his chip with a 512 EvoxM8+ bios? eh, it works, and he's not complaining... I just hate that damned bios now... it's so... slow... i have recently fitted a new mother board to my xbox but it comes up with contact service support can anyone tell me why this is do i need to flash the bios or something if so how do i do this.

is this with the chip attached? if so you should be getting the XOS, which means the d0 is at fault....make sure to check your d0 and make sure it is in the correct via and connected well....
