I am computer literate but Xbox illiterate. Would like to be able to play backup copies on my sons xbox. My kids thrash their disks whithin the first couple of weeks and then can't play them anymore. I would like to be able to make a backup copy and let them have that and keep the origianl in a safe place. So i'm looking for any help,info or links on how to get started. I have a completely stock Xbox. No mod chip or software has been added yet.

I would suggest installing SID 4 and upgrading to a larger harddrive. You will be able to make back ups of your games to the harddrive and keep your originals safely locked away.
The tools you will need are:
Mechassault, 007: Agent Under Fire or Splinter Cell
SID 4
XED (disc.iso)
XBOXHDM 1.9

ok I've got sid 4 deluxe with the mechassault 007 splinter cell, i've read the manual for sid 4 and still don't quite understand how to get it on my xbox, they make it sound like you hook up a memory card to the usb port on my pc, but the memory cards don't have usb ports, confused, I thougt I would burn a cd with the installer on it and load it into the xbox dvd drive. This it getting really complicated. help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK, now to transfer the gamesaves, yes you need a memory module. ( the ones that plug into the controllers. You also need a usb adaptor for the pc. This will allow you to tranfer the saves from the pc to the xbox. Most people buy Action Replay.
