This experience with BMMods has been the worst i've ever had with any company period. I purchased from BMMods over a year ago with no problems and I was very impressed... it seems like it is run by retards now. I ordered an xecuter 3 back on Friday, December 16 and it was back ordered however it said shipments will arrive in 1-2 weeks, this friday will be exactly 7 weeks since i've placed my order. If you want to get shafted in the ass I suggest you order from BMMods but if your expectations are anything like I mine I say the hell with BMMods! ORDER ELSEWHERE.

Now a few weeks ago, I was seeing posts about other retailers and the delayed shipping for Xeniums. Xecuter may be having stock issues (for whatever reason) and that would be out of the stores control.
On the other hand, if you were asking to cancel the order because they can't fulfill it and they said no, that's when I'd really have an issue with them. _________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th

Diveneo does the same thing.
It appears to be the way it is.
I had to wait 3 weeks for my first Xenium to ship even though I paid Express. Didn't get a refund for that either. _________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th

Dosent mean its right.
No diff from selling an XBOX360 you dont have in advance and hoping to get one.
Look what Divineo did with XENIUM'S "SHIPPING IN 2-WEEKS"
Then found out they were discontinued for the gold chip over a month later. Divineo knew the whole time and took $ any way!
I prefer to deal with honest people/business. _________________ XENIUM ICE 300GIG CUSTOM DVD

You mean like all the pre-sales of the Xbox 360 that still haven't been fulfilled? Shall we name those merchants too? Bestbuy, Toys R Us, Circuit City.... and the list goes on. _________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th

Thats right! And dont forget EBAY/private sales who ripped people off as well.
Just curious........ You feel this is business as usual and acceptable???????? _________________ XENIUM ICE 300GIG CUSTOM DVD

I feel that where before this would have been the end of the seller, big or small, it's become acceptable to the public now for it happens time after time after time and one can stop buying from that merchant but if you're doing that stance one must be consistent and boycot all that do that, to make a true statement. In this case, it's impossible to get away from these tactics now.
It also enhances the bottom line of the merchant since they can show sales without loss of inventory or assets, so its a way of padding the year end figures.
Personally, I dont like it but it's all around us now. I don't buy online if the merchant cant tell me it's in stock right then and there. Websites lie but emails you can burn em with quotes.
My humble opinion. _________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th

Personally, I try not to buy online if at all possible, but with modchips and some other items it's unavoidable. Are there any online retailers that do follow through? _________________ I think I like fixing Boxes more than using them!

I have had good luck with extreme-mods.com........ I have dealt with quite a few sites in past 10-11 years. They usually update their site within a day.
I dont always like their pricing (at times up to 10-15% higher than others if you look hard enough). But still for the most part same price/bit less than DIVINEO. What I liked most was communication. They were prompt with answers. DIVINEO never answered my emails, received order 3 1/2 weeks later for "in stock" items with express delivery. _________________ XENIUM ICE 300GIG CUSTOM DVD

What is important is that 1.) you the consumer know up front the item is on back order (like you would have on the pre-release sales of the 360) and 2.) that you know you can cancel the back order if you find the item elsewhere.
I just ordered the Adaptec GameBridge TV from their online store -they told me upfront that it is on back order and I can cancel the order anytime before it goes to processing (I made sure of the policy before comleting the order) - it is a trusted company so I am happy with this.
Now if they didn't tell you before you completed the order that it was back ordered, then they suck. Or if they told you 1-2 weeks and now won't let you cancel after going past that time then they still suck.
NExt time try eXtreme-Mods.com - i liked them. _________________ xbox v1.0 - DuoX 2 - Seagate 160GB - caught fire and is no more

thanks for the advice. I would have appriciated an email from BMMods if they were unfortunatly unable to ship the chip in the 1-2 weeks as stated on their site.
two thumbs down...
correction:
to cancel they are going to charge me a 6% cancellation fee. bullshit.

Now that I do agree is low and profiteering.
I do not agree on a restocking fee for cancellation of an order based on a product that they don't even have to ship, let alone stock.
Now had the product been warehoused and pulled then the order cancelled, I can see the point. _________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th

I really like Extreme-mods. Can't go wrong with them and never had a problem.
Make sure your shipping address is right when shipping b/c they take about 1/2 a day to get back to you and you might not catch the order in time....almost happened to me, but they managed to correct and I still got it early. _________________ XBOX v1.6
