I am from UK and thus my xbox was PAL by default, to run HD I switched using enigmah video switcher to NTSC
I used dvd2xbox, obviously my originals are PAL disk and hard drive copy works fine.
I tried using CloneXB to create a DVD backup, when I play this the intro is fine but then it goes black screen but i can hear everything.
Any ideas ?

Use UnleashX go to settings and make sure the region switch is set to auto (this also applies to EvoX) It should fix your problem... If not, you might have to use Enigmah video switcher every time you wanna play a PAL disc.

Turned out to be nothing more then a bad disk or copy. I re-done the copy and its all working fine now. So PAL disk to harddrive then to backup disk seems to have no problems when run in NTSC.
