o.k since the other post i thought that i fixed my xb but noticed that xbox dashboard under applications/ programs is not there!!!!
i checked under c to see if the files were missing or something but its there? click on xboxdash.xbe and it works fine. then i check unleashedx to see if ms dash will load from there and it does. so what could i have done? i only messed with the e and f drives lately, could the probs be there somewhere? it was showind earlier today restarted xb now its gone. help when you have time. thank you.

hey, i found out the problem with the dash, for some reason it appears then disappears so i had a backup dvd of the files before i retouched the hd 2 days ago restored the e files missing, dash etc. now it works, but can't reboot to default dash. using sid 3.0 aid 2.11 MA, 160 seagate hd xbox dash 5960, ken 5838 ,xbmc, new 2005 1.6v..... lucky me.... i heard that using xbmc as a default dash is bad? cause thats what i'm using and that is what had started this whole mess is xbmc should i change dashboards?
EDIT: when i close the tray code 21, that dash ain't it? open tray boots fine, play games fine boots apps fine and xb dash is still showing in apps/ programs ill change the default dash to unleshed or something. thanks for reponding. and ill read the post now.

xbmc is good as a dash i use it also.
what you need to do is reinstall softmod and hacked dash with AID2.11 final
put the disc in your xbox , boot it
chose install softmod ( nkpatcher + ms-dash)
after this go back to softmod section in AID2 menu
chose install hacked dash
chose location and what dash you want (xbmc)
now reboot xbox without aid in tray
your xbox will now boot to xbmc and you can use ms-dash as an app now

Man Pirr. you're the man, you got my xb back to normal thank you so much for helping me out i was loosing my mind staying up all night for the last 2 nights trying to figure out what i did wrong.
all i was trying to do was update my xbmc to the new 1/06 one and i messed it up.
won't touch anything else til i read some more. if i have any more problems which i doubt, i will hit yall up.
