The chip recognised the disk through bank 1 and turned itself off but when i turned it back on all i got was a blank screen and flashing red eject switch, tried to turn on through other bank but got the samething, is the chip f.....ed or can i get back the orig bios back somehow please help im at my wits end...

Your chip should have a recovery hardware function all ya need is a recover disk if memory serves me right
as for the led meaning it means Dead, broken or empty eeprom
So it probably means that theres nothing in the banks _________________

I used a programmer to recover my old Xecuter 2.3b and it worked a treat.

Good luck. You should find it easy enough. its just simple install drivers get software to flash bios choose bios and say go. Nothing to it really.
