Well, this is a fairly recent problem for me, let me explain.
Im working with evolutionx, using it to back up my games. Recently I purchased a copy of Call of Cthulhu and made a backup on my HD.
I played it for approximately 4 hours yesterday, then shutdown my xbox, loaded it later, and played it for another hour and a half.
I shut off my xbox until today, and when I loaded it up and went to "Load games from Hard-Drive" I had no games in my list, however the Disc space was still missing.
After messing around a little while I was able to get the list of games back however when I attempt to load any game but Call of Cthulhu I make it only as far as the EvolutionX Splash loading screen, then im kicked back to the dashboard. I tried all of the suggested fixes. IGR is off, I tried re-burning games it would not let me play. No luck.
I think this may be a HD Problem or something, however everything else BUT my games load fine (Images, etc).
I have two boxes both modded in the same way, I tried to burn another game onto my second box and it worked fine, with this box I had not burned Call of Cthulhu.
Ok, now my final explination, i keep going back to Call of Cthulhu because of the size of the name it was given when it was put on the xbox. I was curious so I loaded up a file manager and i saw "D[][]" which seemed like a highly corrupt name to me. I launched the xbe inside this and found that it was that game, but it ran fine.
Some information about my xbox(s);
Note: Xbox A is the one with problems.
Softmodded using Auto Installer Delux 2.0
120gb HD in xbox a, the Stock HD in xbox b
Bothing running Evolutionx
Xbox a is a 1.6b while xbox b is much earlier (im actually unsure).
Sorry for the really long post but I wanted to provide as much information as possible and hopefully get some help before I move on to re-formatting and re-partitioning my drive.

try setting another dash up as your default (one with a file explorer) like unleashx.
try to load the game from the list and if that doent work, open the file explorer and go directly to the folder that the .xbe is in. open the folder and click the default.xbe and see if that runs... _________________ XCM Halo 2 blue case

Yes I had tried using XBMC as well as Avalaunch, unfortunatly neither of these helped either.
I was wondering if there is any kind of performance issues based upon how much of the Xbox HD is used? (any kind of overhead?)
of the ~110gb on my F Drive I was left with only like 33gb.
And still I have had no luck in curing this problem using any of the alternate dashboards.
