[just got xbox modded with aladdin chip. dont know chip number or bios number ..can i find these out and is it still possible (and safe) to install the evox dashboard ..i dont want to risk flashing the bios...
please help am very new to this..

if i turn on by pressing the drawer open button i get green light and standard xbox dashboard
if i press power button i get orange light and the word evox appears in the top left corner and then goes to standard xbox dashboard..

my main question is how do i find which dashboard to install and if i have problems can i reinstall the xbox dashboard (cannot backup dashboard because i have only one drive and dont know where to get standard xbox dashboard from) ....
also as this is a gift dont want to ruin system for sake of a dashboard...
please help...

and if so can i use xselect to choose which dashboard to use....

sorry for all this trouble
took the leap and ran the disc in xbox
found drive is partitioned to c+e so backedup c:
installed latest evox dashboard to e:
no problems at all so far...
only question now is how i run the dashboard on e without using the disc
(preferably i can choose between ms dash and evox dash)
any help or link to tutorial would be a great help..

sorry, i don't know anything about Aladin chips, but look and see if it supports quick boots, like where you can power with eject and boot different dash than when you power from power button. _________________ Xbox v1.1

booting with power activates aladdin chip
booting with drawer button does not activate aladdin
but cant find how to active different dashboards???
