I recently used SID and such on my XBox through way of the Splinter Cell/Action Replay etc. deal.

The problem is, I'm having trouble burning a disc with AID 2.0 on it that my XBox will read. I used Ahead Nero for the disc, the disc itself was a Memorex CD-RW.

The only issue was that when I put it in the XBox, it said the disc tray was empty.

I don't have the AID 2.02 update yet, and it's taking an incredibly long time to download from BitLord for some reason. So I was wondering, do I need the AID 2.02 update to make an XBox readable disc?

Try using a DVD+R, its rare to find an Xbox that reads a CD-RW. Also use a program like DVD Decryptor to burn the ISO to the DVD. It allows you to choose a slow burn speed(2X) which will make it easier for the Xbox to read the disc. Hope that helps.

You shouuld try dvd+r or dvd-r if you can.. But if you cant just go and buy a few brands of CDRW and burn at the slowest speed until you find the one that works..

Imagine what it was like for me when i modded my first xbox with no info way back in 2002.. lol.. I knew i installed the mod correctly but couldnt get it too boot a CDRW as thats all i had too..

Finally i found a brand that worked.. lol

hope that helps someone

hi..

yes CDRW will work finebut you have to experiement and find the correct media that your xbox likes to read..

If you get a dvd burner its the best money you can spend.. Make life alot simpler.

btw.. Dont burn AID.iso as a DATA DISC.. It must be burned as a DISC IMAGE..

That reminds me. I've got AID 2.0, do I need the 2.02 update for it to work with my XBox?

Is AID 2.0 really all I need? o_o

Cool.

So so far I've backed up the MS Dash, then installed EVOX, since then I haven't done much.

All I have left to do is install AID, correct?

I really don't want to mess this up. :P

By the way, the main issue is, when I put the disc in any drive, it won't read it.

Even when I put it back in the drive that I burned it in, it will say "Please insert a disc into the drive."

Confused
