hi SlamScraper,
Lets get you sorted ok..

YES, Exactly.. The best way to explain it really is to think of the XBOX as a PC.. So just network your xbox into your pc hub/switch/router just like you would for another pc or if you dont have a router etc use a CROSS OVER CABLE to connect directly from your PC NETWORK CARD to your XBOX NETWORK CARD..

Yes, But you need to install a PC APPLICATION called 'FlashFXP'..
Then you connect to your xbox through flashfxp and drag and drop files over..
Thats how your connect your xbox to your pc.
To setup your xbox ip address you have to have evox dashboard or a aftermarket hacked dashboard (e.g. mediaxmenu, XBMC etc)
In EVOX Set your ip like this.
1. Turn on your xbox
2. Go to 'System Management'
3. Go to 'System Settings' (your xbox may be slightly different)
4. Bring up the screen which shows your XBOX IP ADDRESS info
5. Now just edit the info and add what ip addres you want for you xbox
6. Turn STATIC to YES or 'ON'
7. Go to the very bottom of the screen and choose 'SAVE & EXIT'
8. Reboot your xbox with your NETWORK CABLE CONNECTED

Ok...I currently have two PCs connected through a router at this time, so would I be better off disconnecting one so then I just have my main PC and then my Xbox connecting into the router? And then begs the question...how can the PC and Xbox connect through a router? or does the program Flash you told me that I will need to put on my PC take care of this? sry for being such a newb

Most routers have four ports, so in essence you do not need to diso your extra PC. You will still be able to FTP into it after you set up your FTP software with the correct settings.
FTP'ing between PC and Xbox is sweet, very fast. I just FTP'd 6GIG worth of Mame-OX roms (BTW DJB, they are on the way mate!!) and it took me about 15 minutes.
That new version of Mame-OX from the autoinstaller kicks ass... with that Virtual memory, all roms that didn't work in my previous version are working fine, plus I can use the analog thumbstick...which I couldn't in my last version.
My huge Pelican Arcade Controller is now getting some use, besides being an industrial size DUST MAGNET!! _________________ Good Deals: Death@Hand, funkydopenloven, StaticMind, Slamscaper, PorscheXboxter

My router does have 4 ports....now I take it that with the settings and setting up I should be able to figure this out right? Im a concrete learner lol. This sucks, but I think I can figure it out. I just hope that when I try this I dont nuke the system. Thanks for the help guys.

I think I got this now....Tell me if Im right? (I know I am all too ignorant...sry).
Ok here is my theory, the actually connection between the Xbox and the PC is the FTP right? And when my Xbox is modded all I need to do is follow the example in the PC FTP Xbox tutorial, but with my current PC's ip address and subnet? So then when I become a VIP member and download a emulator and some roms all I have to do is the drag and drop? I hope I got it. Sry if I have wasted anyones time.

Yep there sure is, there's several...
Peronsally I use C-Xboxtool which is nice and simple, you point to a folder which contains the files for the ISO, and it generates it for you.
It's also good for extracting ISOs or FTP'ing them to your Xbox...
Look into that if you want...

Cool, you won't be disappointed with it's features. If only it had a couple of more things (flul FTP access etc, and making ISOs on the fly from your xbox) it would be THE PC tool for xbox.
