I'm having a problem connectiong to my Avalaunch dashboard via FTP. I've been using FlashFXP for about a year now and all of a sudden it wont connect. I can connect through the Xenium-OS screen and it works fine. However, just the other day when i booted up the avalaunch screen, i get an ip address like (10.10.2.1b1 err) My network is enabled and my DCHP is disabled. None of the settings have been changed.

You config file may have corrupted. Just change the settings to match the Xenium OS FTP settings, if that doesn't work just re-install the dash.

Ok, so i reloaded the config files and now instead of getting an err. down at the bottom of the screen i get an ip address. But it still wont connect and it doesnt match up the way it normally does. (192.168.1.101) its giving me some random numbers at the end like 181. I put an encryption on my router (WEP), and i was wondering if that had anything to do with it.

Ok but if the IP is not what you normally set it to, you need to set the network to Static and manual input the IP you want it to be.

I set it to static, and it wont let me manually set it through the avalaunch. It doesnt let me set it in the xenium-OS menu either. So i opened evox.ini and set it in there but it just overrides that file apparently. Is there another way i can set it besides those?

I cant do anything. When i go into the settings option in avalaunch, and i clicked on the ip it just brings up a box that shows me what it is. Theres no option to delete or change or input anything new. When i go through the xenium-OS, it just gives me the same thing, i can reset the network and it connects through the xenium-OS screen but the FTP runs sooo slow, that it takes 5 mins to send my dashboard over (around 3k/s).

To change the IP adress in avalaunch, or other settings like this, when you select the IP or setting you wish to change and it just brings up the box telling you what it is, press the white button on your gamepad, and it should bring up the virtual keyboard. This will allow you to change th settings. _________________

When using the onscreen keyboard, the gamepad buttons have the following functions:
X=delete, A=select, B=back, Y= enter/save
Hope this helps,

Ok, so i changed the IP address in the avalaunch dash. However, now i still cant connect. I dont know if its because the router is now WPA encrypted or not. It's weird because i can download skins using the online skins under the skins menu and it connects to the xbins.org and gives me the scrolling information on the right side but the FTP cannot make a connection.

Unless you have a wireless adapter on your xbox, the encryption would not cause any problems. Encryption will only prevent unauthorized access in a wireless situation. _________________

its not on a wireless box, its just plugged directly into the router. There must be some other way for it to connect via FTP. I've tried changing the IP address and what not. Its on a static connection in the xenium-OS with the correct ip. I've looked in these forums and found the set up for the network settings and FTP settings within the Avalaunch Dash and theyre all the same. Its weird that it would just stop working all of a sudden. I reloaded all the files for everythign and restored everything to default. Still i get nothing. Any other ideas?

Have you checked your firewall? _________________

Since the static ip doesn't appear to be working, try switching all over to DHCP and see if it will run. _________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th

You did create a new ftp connection in your ftp software to match the new IP you used? If you can http from the dash and ftp from the Xenium OS then the IP settings are correct and it should not be a firewall issue. Can you post your IP settings from the avalaunch config.xml?
