Is it just the Wal-Mart where I live or have they moved all of the Xbox Prices back up to $179?
I know It comes with a pack-in game but come on that same system w/pack-in game was $149 before the 360 came out.

Yeah, but I saw plenty of xbox's with 2 pack-in games this summer for $149. I agree...even costco, best buy, etc. are back up to $179. XMas season, I suspect. Hell, the Forza game is good, but you can get it for under $15 on ebay EASY...just catering to the masses (and demand), I suppose. I mean even $179 compared to a $399 ($899 if you ACTUALLY are trying to get one off ebay right now) XBox 360 probably seems pretty good, so they probably figure the market can support that price...

Forza is still $50 retail thus the reason the game and the xbox is $179. M$ doesn't give a crap about ebay nor do many other people.

So why no plain systems if they were already at $149? I wonder if the reason is that they have quit production and just plan to turn a profit on what is left as they haven't made that much off of them in the past.
It doesn't bother me I was just curious,,,,, I buy mine used anyway. _________________

Yeah, but most retail stores have it for $29 now. Plus, I can't find ANYONE offering just a basic XBox for $149 anymore either. Even online. Most are $159 for a basic box/controller or $179 for the Forza combo. _________________ Xecutor 3 CE
