I started pirrups tut on installing a larger harddrive. Got through the ftp no prob. burned the iso, then started the remaker tool. But for some reason, It doesn't go past uncompressing Linux..... Ok, botting kernel.
Plz someone I have been doing this for about 18 hrs straight and need to get this done. Wont start anything else till i get it setup. Also think I messed up my original hd. tried restoring ms backup, and it starts to repair, but doesn't do anything and goes away. Help

make sure you don't modify any other files from the extract of xboxhdm.
also try burning the linux.iso in slower speeds.

burned the iso at 4x. I did that twice. Still locking up at the same booting kernel. I am using a cd drive that is only a 24x read. doesn't have the rw/r symbols so i don't think it can copy them. old 97 compaq. haven't been able to upgrade parts. was given as a gift.
