Im kinda new here myself,,, but from what Ive read and done before myself, It sound like it doesn't know where to find your dash.
One thing to try that may be simple is to burn an AID disk and put it in your xbox dvd drive and see if it will boot to that. If so I think that means your softmod is working and you should just be able to install from that disk. If it doesn't sounds like your going to have to pull the hdd and try it again. Like I said if you have your files on your PC you will get it going eventualy as long as you have the eeprom.bin that came from the xbox that you are working on. _________________

Actualy I just looked up the code it says that it can't unlock the HDD
but you can still try the stuff above if you like.
But from my understanding you still have to have the eeprom.bin that came from the xbox that you are working on ( not saying that you don't but just to help any other new folks that may read this thread) as they are unique to each xbox and that is where the lock code comes from. _________________

i tried booting the new hdd with the aid dvd, same thing happens, i also used it to install config magic on my other hdd so i could get the eeprom.bin so i know the dvd is working, i think i am just gonna have to try again, i am just gonna make a new xboxHDamker image and see if that helps, im re transfering the E: and C: folders from my softmodded hdd again because, i used e: and c: folders from before config magic and evox wwhere installed, maybe thats why , so hopefully a new xbhdm image will work * fingers crossed *
thanks again for your help, i will post what happens.
oh and btw do i need to do anything special after i install new hdd in xbox or do i just use the aid dvd to boot? (put aid dvd in xbox and turn on)

i copied and pasted the search results for that code, i didnt type them in my post, and wouldnt Xboxhdmaker tell me that my drive isnt unlockable rather than i succesfully did it ?
and if it isnt unlockable does that mean it is gonna only be good for my pc?

should work just like your other hdd did no disk needed to boot. but the AID disk always comes in handy to get all of the other goodies off of there
I personly like the UnleashX dash as it has the same file manager as the AID disk does. _________________

If someone has posted that the hard drive is lockable check to see what they were using to lock it from it may be that the person who got it to work may have been using a mod chip instead of a softmod. I don't see that that would make a difference but it might.
I would plug in the old hdd drive before I done anything else just to make sure that it still works and If it does, I would be very careful of what I did with it until I got the new one working. _________________

Dang, I just modded my first Xbox 2 weeks ago
anyways I would try the 2nd tutorial link above that I gave you ,if you were going to try it again from scratch, as I got it on the first try with that one.
I made all of my screw ups since then _________________
