1. what dos the floppy disk next 2 some threads mean??

I know that the disk symbol means there`s something to download on the thread somewhere.
but as for the sig, I`d like to know this also but I think you need to have your picture hosted somewere and you need to have a link to it, I think i`m not sure.

You are correct. The disk means there is an attachment like a file or a picture.
In order to display a picture in your sig, you would want to go to your profile.
Look for the signature line and in the box it would look something like:
[img]htttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/aaaa/Shark2th/sharksig.gif[/img]
I put the extra t in http so the picture won't display.
