Xbox V1.6 (brand new Xbox)
X3 Chip – soldiered (Everything soldered perfectly, chip has power and everything)
BIOS – Flashed with X3 3294 through the network
Hard drive – 180 gig

Bios were flashed properly and when it boots up it shows the xbox animation then X3 “Rox my Box”, then it goes to the X3Config Live screen. I have downloaded the Auto-Installer.Deluxe.v2.11.Final.Xbox-Hq and used dvd decrypter to burn the iso at 1x. I have burned this installer with a dvdr (+, -, rw,) and CDr (+, -, rw) (also different media brands too) but when I put the disk in and restart the Xbox it doesn’t boot to the installer it goes straight to the X3Config Live screen (I have also disabled the auto start option in the X3Config) I have no idea why its doing this. Can anyone help me?

Brand new V1.6 box should work with at least ONE of those media options (I have an old 1.0 box with Thompson DVD that doesn't work with ANY thing I've tried). Are you getting a disk unreadable error or any error code when you disable the X3Config Live? Standard question of "did you burn it as slow as possible"? Also, do you have DVD autorun enabled (not sure if there is anything in the X3Config live or not off the top of my head). Just curious, but can you check that the ISO you are burning actually works in any other modded XBox? Maybe you have a bum ISO or something?

Anyway, it doesn't answer your original question, but with built in FTP support in the X3 chip, why even bother dinking with the AID? You can just prep the drive with the X3Config Live, then ftp all the files you want straight over to the new drive. Granted, it might take you more understanding of what you are putting on there, but it should be pretty straight forward and work...

I tried doing the FTP but not quite sure on how to do that. I need a little more help on that on where to place files and so on. I like using the AID since its quick and easy and it does it all for you and I dont have to worry about ftping it over. I have to try it in my other xbox that is chip to see if the disk works. I am at work at the moment so I will try that and report back.

Edited:

Also getting the error code 14 when chip is disabled

14 - dashboard - Error loading dashboard (dashboard generic error)
