Get an image from my computer onto my xbox and make it my dashboard image

you mean to make your own SKIN for a dashboard i think..
You want to have EVOX Installed as it will be the simplest for you as you sound like a newbie..
Once you have EVOX DASHBOARD installed onto your xbox (using AIDELUXE) you can then ftp over to your xbox and copy a existing skin from the C:\evox\skins\ directory to your pc.. Then just edit the .ini file and jpgs..
yeah i am a newbie....and therefor i dont understand what the heck your saying...i have flashftp on my pc. thats it... and i cant connect my xbox to my pc, mainly cuz i dont know how and them tutorials dont make sense

Thats cool.
Ok.. do this for me..I hope your running windows xp or 2000.
1. Choose 'Start Menu' from windows
2. Choose 'Run' and type 'cmd' and press enter or ok
3. now when the windows (cmd prompt) comes up type 'ipconfig /all'
4. it will show all your network setup for you pc.. Ip address etc etc.
Just reply to this post here.. I will let you know what your xbox ip address, dns and subnet settings have to be before you can ftp into your xbox using FLASHFXP.

is a network port where you put in that wire that almost looks like a telephone wire you plug into your wall?

Are you on Cable/ADSL (some sort of broadband)? Do you have a network setup at the mo (PC's sharing internet/files)?
