Ok I got the softmod to work , but now I am trying to upgrade my HD and I am having problems getting it to lock I am using XBoxHD v1.4.
First I tryed to do the hd upgrade to my friends xbox and the HD would not lock I got the error 6. Then I tryed to reformatting it and trying agin got it to lock but got error 6 again .
Then I use my disc from when I upgraded my HD and the HD works great with my xbox.
If I would lock it to my xbox is there a way were I could change the file that belong to his xbox and swap it?

ive move this topic into the softmod area.. This is definately a topic for the softmod gurus..
Im sure it can be done with a modchip but with a softmod i dont know..

first i would recommend using xboxhdm 1.9 as it is newer .
second you need to lock the hd with the eeprom from that xbox , so you can't just use your cd ( you need to make a new cd with his eeprom file on it) _________________ HOTSWAP | MS dash |

Were can I find V 1.9, I am not able to get on to the server for some reason. I use FlashFXP but nothing .
Could someone post a link for me where I can download this file from?
