hey everyone, ive been looking for the past few weeks on different hosting sites to see what kind of service i would need for what i want to do. what i am wanting to do is start a mod store of my own for services and repairs and the such. i have a flash template in mind that i would like to use but i dont really know alot about web servers and hosting so if someone could put some links up here of a good host thats cheap (im thinking under 100 per year atleast to start out with) and i can deal with the domain registration myself.
any help is appreciated, thanks

hi mate,
I would seriuosly suggest contacting Tweakedhosting who we host xboxhq with and many of our other members like ModGod..
hey pirrup, do you do any custom packages, for if i dont need alot of disk space but alot of bandwith, and also, since your in belgium, can my domain end in a .net or .com?
btw, how does flash work if i wanted a completely flash website? is just just throwing up the index.html and letting that direct it to the flash file?
im not completely clueless when it comes to websites but im not the swiftest with flash...
thanks for your help hobbs and pirrup

If I remember correctly, Flash is just another insertable object in the HTML code.
You don't have to redirect to the .swf file if thats what you are thinking. _________________ XBOX v1.6

i was mainly thinking on how with programs like php nuke you have to install databases to get it working and the only reason i ever got that far was because my old host had fantastico with there packages.
(if your thinking just use the old host, they have become less and less reliable and thats the main idea on switching)
btw, pirrup, what IRC channel do you want me to go to?
