Hi,

My Xbox boots directly to Nexgen where I can choose to launch the MS, XBMC or EvolutionX Dashboards, but anytime I want to start up EvolutionX it just idles on a black screen until I reboot. The only way I can access EvolutionX is if I run Xbmc first, then boot back to dash and select EvolutionX, but if It's the first dasboard I launch when I power on my Xbox it won't load at all.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Hi,

Must be a bad link in your NexGen dash config..
I dont play with nexgen dash as there is no need.. There are many better xbox dashboards as you know..

Try ftping into your xbox and check your .xml or .ini file for nexGen.. Then check that it points to the correct file on your xbox..

Its probably just a bad link dude.

XBMC auto matically searches and doesnt use LINKS
So it will show up and work everytime.

This is what the link in the nexgen.xml file looks like:

Seems right no?

have a look on your C:\ drive of your xbox.. Make sure that file is there.
If it is not try and find the filename for evox.

Its just a linking problem thats all..

Yup, the file is in the right location, I doubt it to be a linking problem due to the fact that if I launch XBMC first and then return to the Nexgen dash to Lauch EvolutionX it works no problem, but otherwise if it's the first thing I launch from Nexgen when I turn on the Xbox it just brings up a black screen.

Check in XBMC where the EVOX DASH is loading from.. It may be loading from a completely different directory man.

Im telling you now.. It either is a BUG with NEXGEN DASH or you just need to POINT it to the correct file..
