But when i have to lock it. it says error it can't be locked. the drive doesn't support the ati lock.
My hardrive is Hitachi 40 GIG MODEL = IC35LO60AVV207-0

i may be stating the obvious here but it doesnt look like the drive you using is lockable. do you have another hard drive extra? if so, just try the same method and if it locks then you know that the hitatchi is unlockable.

it may be because its a older drive or something but i cant be sure..
It would be easier to tell with a modchip installed becuase you could boot your xbox and check with xbox apps like CONFIG MAGIC..
Hopefully pirrup may have some answers for you. He wrote the tutorial.
